Cyber security and threat response
Find the weak points before someone else does, and know what to do when something goes wrong.
Overview
Most attacks on businesses use ordinary weaknesses: a reused password, a laptop that missed an update, an email that looked like it came from a supplier. We start there. We look at how your people, devices and systems are set up today and tell you plainly where the risk is.
Then we fix the gaps in order of importance, so the first money you spend removes the biggest risk. We also write down what to do when an incident happens, because the first hour decides how much damage follows.
No one can promise that you will never be attacked. What we can do is make an attack harder, shorter and less costly, and make sure you are not working it out for the first time under pressure.
What is included
Security assessment
A structured review of your accounts, devices, network, cloud services and the way staff work, with a written list of findings ranked by risk.
Vulnerability scanning
Regular checks of your systems and websites for known weaknesses, with the results explained in plain language.
Email and phishing protection
Filtering for fake and harmful email, and short sessions that show staff what a convincing fake looks like.
Access control
Strong sign-in with a second step, sensible permissions, and removal of accounts that nobody uses.
Incident response
A written plan, a named contact on our side, and hands-on help to contain an attack, recover and find out what happened.
Policies and awareness
Short, usable rules for passwords, devices and data, so that staff know what is expected of them.
How the work is delivered
Step 1
Assess
We learn how your business works, what you cannot afford to lose and where the risks sit.
Step 2
Design
We agree a short plan that lists what to fix first, what it costs and who does it.
Step 3
Implement
We make the changes with as little disturbance to your day as we can manage.
Step 4
Monitor
We keep watching, report on what we see and adjust the plan as your business changes.
