Data backup and storage

Copies you can actually restore from, kept where a single incident cannot reach them.

Overview

A backup that has never been restored is an assumption. We set up backups and then prove them, by restoring real files and systems on a regular schedule.

We use Veeam and other established tools to protect servers, virtual machines, laptops and Microsoft 365 data. Copies are kept in more than one place, including at least one that an attacker or a fire at your office cannot reach.

We also help you decide how long to keep data and who may restore it, so that backup supports your records policy and not only your recovery.

What is included

  • Server and virtual machine backup

Scheduled copies of your servers, with the option to restore a single file or the whole system.

  • Laptop and desktop backup

Automatic copies of staff files, so that a lost or broken laptop does not mean lost work.

  • Microsoft 365 backup

Separate copies of mail, files and shared sites, which the platform itself does not keep for you.

  • Offsite and offline copies

At least one copy stored away from your office, and one that cannot be changed by ransomware.

  • Restore testing

Regular test restores, with a short report of what we tested and the result.

  • Retention rules

How long copies are kept, agreed with you and written down.

How the work is delivered

  1. Step 1

    Assess

We find out what data you hold, where it sits and what you would miss first.

  2. Step 2

    Design

We pick the tools, schedule and storage places, and agree how fast you need to restore.

  3. Step 3

    Implement

We install the backups, run the first full copy and check it completed.

  4. Step 4

    Monitor

We check every job, fix failures and test restores on a schedule.

What you end up with

  • Backups running without anyone having to remember
  • A copy that ransomware and a fire cannot both reach
  • A report showing the last successful restore test
  • Staff files recoverable after a laptop is lost or broken
  • Retention rules written down
